Smarter and more sustainable business
Our sustainable business practices are reflected in particular in smart transport solutions. By importing semi-finished products in a jumbo container (equivalent to about three standard containers of finished product) from Asia, we save about 200 sea containers annually. This means not only significant cost savings, but also a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
Digitization drastically reduces waste
To drastically reduce waste, we are investing in the digitization and automation of our production recipes. The result is impressive: minimal waste. Of the approximately one million rolls we produce each month, only about 3,000 rolls (0.3%) are rejected. These rejected products are also given a second life as “second choice” items. That way we can be sure that nothing goes to waste.
We repurpose residual waste
Residual waste, consisting mainly of paper and cardboard, is compacted and offered for recycling. This is how we contribute to a circular economy, keeping raw materials in the cycle for as long as possible. The end result of all these efforts? A significantly lower environmental impact, not only for ourselves, but also for the hundreds of European customers who work with our products. In this way, we not only make ourselves more sustainable, but also ensure the most sustainable chain possible.
From startup to European player
We started 19 years ago and since then we have continuously expanded our production capacity + started offering private-label tapes (in small runs). Therefore, these developments in the field of sustainability have not come out of the blue. It is a long-running process that has no end in sight.
Drives of a driven entrepreneur
We see continuous innovation through digitization and automation as an important competitive advantage over production in low-wage countries. One of our driving forces is the desire to retain both knowledge and employment in the Netherlands. Even after 19 years of entrepreneurship, we continue to innovate. We are currently focusing on more intensive use of data analysis with two clear goals: further reducing CO2 emissions and reducing waste to virtually zero.
